Full Registration
Psychologists who are fully registered may practice independently. Section 10 of
the Psychologists Act (2005) Act states a person may apply for full registration
where an individual -
- holds a doctoral degree or master's degree in psychology from an educational institution
approved by the board, or the equivalent in content and training that is acceptable
to the board;
- has
- where the applicant holds a doctoral degree or the equivalent in content and training
that is acceptable to the board, at least one year of professional experience, or
- where the applicant holds a master’s degree or the equivalent in content and training
that is acceptable to the board, at least 2 years of professional experience, in
the field of psychology acceptable to the board that was obtained after the degree
or equivalent referred to was completed and, in case of an applicant holding a master's
degree or equivalent, that was supervised to the satisfaction of the board; and
- has passed the Examination for the Professional Practice in Psychology (EPPP)
